Reggie Fish

Fish, the diminutive Razorback receiver/punt returner whose previous claim to fame was running the 'Woody' and being the only Division-I football playershorter than Danny DeVito, grabbed his share of the limelight Saturday by giftwrapping an SEC championship for the Florida Gators after trying to field a punt in Saturday's SEC Championship game. Florida, having burned its final timeout of the game to figure out if a punt was in order on fourth-and-one, booted the ball deep into Arkansas territory — where an overzealous Fish awaited.

Inside the 5, Fish threw conventional wisdom aside and decided to field the punt destined for a touchback. Not only did Fish conclude he should make a play on the ball, he decided it would be best to haul it in over his shoulder at about the 2- or 3-yard line. In an absolutely stunning turn of events, Fish muffed the catch and Florida recovered it in the end zone for a touchdown and a lead that would never be overcome by the Hogs.
