6:02 - Starting lineups

Henderson rolling with Keisha Blackwell, Angelique Baulding, Ashley Perry, Shondra Bush and Rayna Hare. They go 5-8, 5-9, 6-0, 6-0, and 6-0.

Sugar Bears with the usual Piggee, Lauren Williams, Caronica, Oden, and Victoria. That's 5-6, 5-6, 5-9, 6-2, 6-3. Just about even overall.

6:04: Piggee already scored, and HSU with its first turnover.

6:06: Piggee 4, HSU 2. HSU's Ashley Perry already looking good and fired up/disgruntled. She's cried about seven times already. Should be interesting to watch as the night goes on.

6:08: Sugar Bears looking too quick for Henderson out of the gate. Caronica gets a steal, a layup, and a foul. Hare is sucking wind already, and just nailed a 3. 11-6 UCA.

6:11: Ashley Perry Scowl Count – 319. Okay, I'm kidding, it's more like 9.

6:13: Piggee blocks the taller Bush. She had a steal two possessions ago, and she's had success working the baseline on the offensive end early. And she just fouled on a layup, her second already here at the 12:29 mark. She truly does do it all.

6:19: Henderson on a huge roll, up 25-15. That's a 17-2 run over a span of about 5:00.

6:24: Henderson's radio folks going nuts over the scoreboard not being updated. After a few frantic moments and much gesticulation, it's all correct. 28-18 Lady Reddies.
FG percentage update: Sugar Bears- 32, Lady Reddies- 47.8

6:29: Henderson gets its 37th steal of the half. Official stats only show them with eight, however.

6:32: You know that thing about the Sugar Bears being quicker earlier? Well, that stopped happening a little bit ago. Henderson is getting up and down, getting a hand on everything and just destroying the passing lanes. They've also extended their trap right to the halfcourt line.

6:34: Caronica just destroyed Perry with a monstrous WWE-quality elbow. No call. This of course led to a scowl.

6:35: "Checola Seals wanting a technical foul. Her girl should've got called for a technical foul on the flagrant foul." -- Henderson SID/Play-by-play man Troy Mitchell talking about Caronica's elbow. Also, Shondra Bush and the official might've just conceived a child right there on the court.

6:38: Halftime. HSU leads 34-26.

6:40: Homecoming Queen Viveca Larry is participating in a halftime competition against Collette McFalls. They have 30 seconds to make some FTs, the winner gets a $10 gift certificate to Mike's Place – which should get you in the door and get you one beverage. The loser gets free Domino's. I might just throw the competition.

6:41: Somebody sign Viveca Larry up. She just dominated the competition, winning by an unofficial count of 4-1.

6:43: Some dude named Jeremy just beat Trey (Songz) in another competition. I fell asleep before they awarded the prize.

6:56: 1:21 into the second half, and we've got Perry's first second-half scowl. Also, for those wondering about the first-half momentum swing ... remember Piggee picking up that second foul early? I think there's your cause. In eight first-half minutes, Piggee had 6 points, 3 boards, 1 block, and 1 steal.

7:04: The teams just traded turns dribbling off their own feet. Lots of on-ball pressure on both sides tonight, causing a lot of errant dribbling and turnovers.

7:08: Reggie Miller reincarnated in the form of Samantha Anglin-Smith, who just flopped like a spastic fish after a feather-powered forearm from Brittany Greer. And Piggee is getting warned for talking noise.

7:09: Sugar Bears with their first lead in forever after Piggee grabs a board and gets the outlet to Caronica, who gets the layup and the free throw after being fouled by Anglin-Smith.

7:09:04: Henderson leads again.

7:14: Perry scores and scowls.

7:16: The ref just called the teams in for a powwow. Kumbaya, or whatever. Also, there have been 40 turnovers so far in this one, with 7:40 to go.

7:22: Lady Reddies up 10 again. Lots of turnovers and missed shots everywhere.

7:23: Lady Reddies up 6 after the always-dangerous back-to-back buckets by Lauren Williams. It ended up costing Tech ... will it work again? 58-52 Henderson, 3:51 remaining.

7:25: Piggee wants to mix it up, bad.

7:28: UCA down nine with 2:33 to go. Not looking real good for the home team as Henderson isn't having any part of surrendering any momentum to the home team.

7:30: For the home stretch UCA has Renita, 3LW, Piggee, Caronica and Victoria in. HSU has Bush, Blackwell, Hare, Baulding and Hill in as we get to the 2 minute warning.

7:32: Baulding misses a gimmee, Renita gets fouled misses the FT, Caronica gets the rebound and gets fouled, hits both. Baulding picks up her fourth.

7:33: Baulding misses another easy one, Renita dribbles to the other team, and Piggee throws the shots into the band. Renita comes down, has a layup rim off. 61-56 HSU with 1:00 to go.

7:34: 3LW gets a layup, and now it's another HSU turnover. Vic airballs the potential game-tying 3. Henderson marches to the line up three with 26.2 left.

7:36: Baulding misses a free throw, UCA gets the rebound and sprints upcourt but the ref stops the game to try to give HSU a timeout. Sample in the game at the end her for the Sugar Bears, replacing Lauren Williams.

7:36: Holy dear freaking sweet God. Renita just hits a layup she let go from her ankles, gets fouled, and will step to the line for the potential tying free throw after this timeout. 18.7 left to go. 61-60 Henderson.

7:38: Renita missed a FT at Tech late in the game, but got this one, tie ballgame.

7:40: Perry scores inside, doesn't scowl. Sugar Bears have the ball at halfcourt with 2.5 to go, and will inbound after the timeout. Looks like Oden, Victoria, Caronica, Renita, and 3LW for the last play. Henderson counters with Baulding, Perry, Blackwell, Carter, and Bush.

7:42: Henderson takes the timeout after seeing what UCA was lining up.

7:43: Okay, here we go ... in to Dobbins, pull up J, Overtime. Renita Dobbins is un-freaking-believable.

7:50: Caronica with a 3, Sugar Bears up 70-65 with 2:15 to go.

7:51: Perry whistled for a foul. No whistle for exceeding the scowl limit.

7:52: Perry gets inside for a bucket and gets fouled, and the free throw is good. For all her scowling, she's not a bad player at all. She just got the rebound on the other end. 1:25 to go, Henderson down two with the ball. Piggee whistled for the foul.

7:54: Blackwell 3, HSU back in the lead. UCA turnover, Henderson with the ball in the backcourt burning clock. UCA foul on Renita Dobbins, her third. HSU's Baulding to the line with 26.7 for two shots ... first one good. Both good. And another UCA turnover. Oden fouls. 76-73 Henderson with the Lady Reddies at the line for two more.

7:56: Timeout ... and for those scoring at home, we're up to 54 turnovers, 33 steals, and 83 missed field goals.

7:57: Hare misses the first FT, gets the 2nd. UCA throws it away down four with 11.4.

8:00: Henderson runs it out. Game over. Wow, what a game. I think the assembled crowd might've combined for about 379 heart attacks. You can't ask for better basketball than that.
