Go Internets

It's a sad day when you see some of the things you hate about popular culture creep up in things like Associated Press news stories.

I know Internet acronyms are all the rage these days, but I hate 'em. I don't use LOL, LMAO, ROFLMAO, IMHO or even STFU. I hate this stuff. How tough is it to type out stuff completely? Another reason I'm not a big fan, I'm pretty sure every time someone jots down LOL they're not really laughing out loud. I hardly ever laugh out loud at things I read on the Internet. There's really no point in laughing out loud at typewritten material, who are you trying to impress?

So it is, now it has creeped it's way into an AP story, as I flipped through the Pine Bluff Commercial today there was a story about politicians using the Internet for blogging and things of that nature. The first word in the story? LOL.

And to top things off it was followed up with one of these :)

Here's what I think about the whole thing: >:-|
