Well, apparently we're going to cover this new minor league thing wall-to-wall. I only worked half a day today, 'cause this is supposed to be my day off, so I'm going to let you know what I know.

The news up here is reporting, just like Josh mentioned earlier, that Wichita is not willing to give up the team. But, the feeling is that this is a done deal. One news station even reported that there's already a plan in the works to have the team play at UA's Baum Stadium.
And I didn't get registered in time. I did fill out my form today, but you've got to have that sucker in 30 days prior. But, had I known I was coming here, I would've filled out that form and voted for this thing.
For one, it'll make my job more interesting and it'll give me something to do on my off days next summer.
And here it is right at 10 p.m., baseball in Springdale. At least the stadium. I guess now we'll see if a team actually moves here.
I think this is a good deal. If the Wranglers do move into the stadium, that would create an in-state minor league rivalry. How great would that Wranglers-Travelers series be? Two Arkansas teams playing in brand new stadium – that's going to be huge for both Little Rock and Springdale. While Springdale folks probably aren't going to roll down to the Rock en masse, and the same for people from Little Rock, some people will travel and with the promotion opportunity you can probably attract more folks that might not otherwise roll out to the ballpark.
So I like the deal. I'm looking forward to seeing what goes down. And I'll tell you something else, the 40/29 Hometown News ain't KATV's Nightside. But it is the best newscast I've found since being up here in the NWA.
